The American Society for Quality (ASQ) has updated the body of knowledge (BoK) for its Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification. The new BoK will be tested starting with the October 2022 testing window.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Generally there has not been any significant change in 2022 version of the CQA Body of Knowledge (except section 7). Some key changes are listed below:
- A significant change has been made in section 7 (Risk Management). The number of questions from this sections have now been increased from 15 to 21.
- A number of topics have been removed from the body of knowledge. For example: theory of constraints (TOC), PERT, CPM, bivariate normal distribution, pre-control charts, one factor experiments.
- Some new topics have been added to the body of knowledge. For example: RACI Matrix, assessing risks through conducting an audit, dFMEA, pFMEA, uFMEA, coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- In addition, for some topics the subtext has been revised and the cognitive levels have been changed.
