The American Society for Quality (ASQ) has updated the body of knowledge (BoK) for its Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification. The new BoK will be tested starting with the August 2022 testing window.

The below table compares the number of questions in the exam from each section in 2014 and 2022 version of the ASQ CSSGB Body of Knowledge.

Generally there has not been any significant change in 2022 version of the CSSGB Body of Knowledge. Some key changes are listed below:
- Some new topics have been added to the body of knowledge. For example: SMART goals, KPI, takt time, just-in-time (JIT), Gemba, spaghetti diagrams, verification/validation, CTX, CTQ, and Kano model, work breakdown structure (WBS), toll-gate reviews, SWOT Analysis, RACI, data collection plans and quality checks, SMED, predictive maintenance, Andon and Jidoka.
- In addition, for some topics the subtext has been revised
- The number of questions from each section have been revised, as shown in the table above.
